Rankin collaborates with the British Heart Foundation

29 09 2017

British photographer Rankin has announced the launch of an international social media art movement, Heart for a Heart, in support of the British Heart Foundation and World Heart Day, which aims to raise awareness of heart disease.

Celebrities including Simon Pegg, Carey Mulligan, Holly Willoughby, Laura Whitmore, Helena Christensen, and Nicholas Hoult are supporting the campaign, encouraging the public to upload a piece of unique heart themed artwork on social media using the hashtag #heartforaheart. Rankin commented 'The heart is the universal symbol. It can be romantic, it can be broken, it can be used on t-shirts to profess a love for a city. And, in recent years, it is synonymous with social media. The team and I wanted to make that mean something. And what better way than to raise awareness for the amazing work that British Heart Foundation does'.
